With lockdown three in full swing, lots of us are devastated at the thought of losing our baby classes; which are often a lifeline to so many new mums. Not only are they an excuse to get out of the house but they are crucial for making friends and helping your little one’s development.
Whilst some face-to-face classes may be able to continue, lots are already switching to online once again and if even if yours isn’t, you may not feel comfortable attending them in person.

However, if money is tight or your not sure if to invest in something, here’s our guide to fifteen completely free online baby and toddler classes to entertain your baby or toddler at home during lockdown. All of these are either completely free or offer a free trial which can then be cancelled. 1. Teddies Music Club
Teddies Music has lots of amazing musical videos to sing along with your toddler at home (including old macdonald had a farm on an actual farm! and toddlerarobics!). It’s £1.99 a month to join but they offer a 14 day free trial.
2. Coucou Loulou
Everyone says lockdown is the ideal time to learn a language so why not try these free french lessons for babies, toddlers and children from Coucou Loulou.
3.Mum and Baby online pilates
Qualified Physiotherapist Madia has a great selection of videos on her youtube channel: from pregnancy exercise tips to postnatal exercise.
4. Olikki app
This app gives you one age-specific activity a day to do with your little one for the first 1000 days of their life. It does cost but there is a 7 day free trial. The owner also wrote this post on 7 tips for entertaining your baby and toddler at home which is full of useful tips.
5. Little Learners
This youtube chanel has some really great themed activities: from halloween crafts to sensory and messy play.
6. SEN Resource Blog
This site is for slightly older children but has 30+ home learning activity videos aimed at primary age; everything from phonics to making a volcano!
7. Tots Together
Tots Together is a fab facebook page that has so many free videos: there are lovely bedtime stories each evening, live activities, giveaways and more. It’s a fantastic resource.
8. The Little Gym
Their youtube channel has so many classes for energetic babies and toddlers (and they’re grouped by ages too). The video quality is excellent so they work perfectly streamed to your TV.
9. Baby College
I featured Baby College in a previous article and found it one of the best out there. It’s five pounds a week but for that you get access to multiple live zoom classes six days a week so if you can afford to invest in a class, this one offers incredible value for money. What’s more, the classes are age-specific and development led so I found the activities really useful (the teacher would explain how carrying out each activity would support different functions. 10. Three Bears Cookery Club
Fun bake along videos on their youtube chanel.
12. Little Folk Sing
Little Folk Sing offers uptempo nursery rhymes that mesmerises our toddler. Each Friday they’re offering free 9.30am classes to start the day off with a sing song.
13. M Powered Fitness
This online exercise platform for mums is offering a seven-day trial of their mum and baby exercise classes. Sign up here and if it’s not for you, make sure you cancel before the payment is taken a week later for the monthly offering.
14. Tumble Tots
Tumble Tots have lots of free class videos up on their youtube from the first lockdown.
15. C Beebies Baby Club
These short videos have lots of suggested activities, song and can be watched on your IPlayer!
