Welcome to Not Another Leaflet: an honest parenting publication with over 20,000 social media followers, for parents of children with additional needs that talks about everything from realities of parenting, to expert content on topics around autism, ADHD and complex needs, and everything in between…
I’m Jenna, a journalist and PR expert, who is mum to an autistic 6 year old. I help businesses get all over the media and have been lucky enough to work with some amazing business owners-many of whom are neurodivergent, parents to neurodivergent children or children who have an additional needs, or work to support those in this space.
I realised that there are still not enough places to talk in the media about life with a child with additional needs-there’s a lot of leaflets, and not much else. I’d love to change this with this platform!

There are several sections which you may be able to contribute to:
- Honest Conversation-personal, first-person stories about having a child with additional needs.
- Parenting hacks-expert-led hack pieces, specifically for parents who have children with additional needs (please note, we don’t take generic listicles, but instead specific, practical adviced tailored to SEND children).
- Sharing your journey of your career or business as a SEND parent.

Submitting an article-guidelines
- Articles should be between 800-1000 words.
- At the bottom of the article, please write ‘About the Author’ and add a short bio with a link to wherever you’d like to direct the reader to.
- Expert content should be written in the 2nd and 3rd person.
- Please do not submit content that talks about curing autism or ADHD-this will not be published.
- If giving scientific information or claims, please link to any relevant studies where possibly.
- Add clear subheadings to your article where possible.
- Please submit as a GOOGLE DOC and include a headshot of yourself if submitting an expert article, or 2-3 lifestyle images of you (These do not have to be of your children) if a honest conversations story.
- Please make it clear who to credit as a photographer of any images sent.
- Do not submit until you have emailed your pitch idea first.
